Seniors {Class of 2013}

February 9, 2013

This is another catch up post from last fall... These lovely ladies all graduate in a couple months and I can't believe another year is going by so fast!

This session was so much fun... I've been using flash fotography setups indoors for a while, but this was one of my first times getting OCF (off camera flash) outdoors, and I've used it for many of my senior sessions since. I never thought I would say this, but I really enjoy it! My model was totally rocking it and we had so much fun. I loved all her outfits and ideas.

One of my favorite images of the year... I just love the rich colors and her amazing eyes.

Mirea was one of my cheerleaders. She was a freshman when I coached her. My girls are all grown up!

 I love Rebecca's style too. I think she and I would get along fantastically if we were in school together!

We caught the tail end of some absolutely beautiful fall colors at our local community college.

...And another favorite image of mine.

Beautiful Jessica... This session took place in an absolutely stunning location, on a not so beautiful day. It threatened to rain on us the whole shoot, but we made it without getting too wet or cold!

We went inside the clubhouse and I fell in love with all the details... the reflection off the baby grand, the warm light on the etched glass, the beautiful wood doors and trim, her cascading hair, big smile, and fun outfit.

That's a lot of flowery language. It's not like I've been watching BBC timeperiod drama or anything lately...

Borna {Newborn}

February 8, 2013

Borna came to visit me last week. I really really LOVE hanging out with these little guys. I think he is such a handsome little man! I was terribly worried this would be a hard session. Usually it's best to get newborn pictures in the first couple of weeks because they're so sleepy, but Borna was 7 weeks old and posed like a champ! He even flashed us a bunch of smiles. He did great!

Mom had so many fun ideas and even brought some fun props...

...And the same image as the first one, but in black and white. I think i like it even better this way. :)

These past few months...

Children are by far my favorite subjects to photograph. I think someday I might specialize... I love them that much! I really enjoy the style that seniors bring to shoots, and getting cadid shots at weddings are fun too.

...But these kids just make me smile.

Chloeyy is just a week or so older than my second little girl. I'm sad I didn't get to take her newborn pictures (I was a little preoccupied at that time!) but these are from her 6 month session last fall.

Cake smashes... I love them so much! Sometimes the kids aren't too fond of the texture though and take a little coaxing to get into it. Even the yucky faces make for cute pictures, though!

I've got to watch Taliya grow up since before she was even born, all throughout her first year! See here. Here, & Here.

This little sweetie came just before Christmas. I made that hat especially for her. :)

The purple lace wrap can be found here.

I saw little Clara as a 6 month old too! She is such a sweet little girl.

Itsn't little Ty handsome?! His parents and I we were all single. They got married just a couple weeks before my husband Dennis and I did. I LOVE that photography has brought me back together with some of my old friends. :)

This adorable girlie is the daughter of one of the young men I took Senior pictures for back when I was just starting business. And now they're expecting baby #2! Life just doesn't slow down, does it?

Phew...
Did you make it all the way to the end?

Good Job.
...But I'm not finished yet.

Here's a few more of my cuties, just for fun. :)
