1 Year Cake Smash {Chloeyy}

April 28, 2013

I saw Chloeyy for her 6 month session here. I love getting to watch her grow up!

 Her mommy made the cake and it was absolutely perfect!

Senior {Morgan}

April 26, 2013

Senior sessions... Sometimes it is refreshing to be able to get to photograph a senior and not a 2-year-old. I love toddlers and babies, but it's fun to get to actually pose your subject and give some direction and not just chase them around the whole time! Haha. Morgan came to me at a good time. I'm sure it was after trying to chase around my own 2-year-old (utterly exhausting!) and I had so much fun with her session!

And a little OCF for the last few to get the evening lights of downtown glowing in the background. :)

Newborn {Traitin}

April 25, 2013

I love newborn sessions! I don't think I can say that enough. Such sweet spirits. So little. So innocent. SOOO sweet! I coached little Traitin's mom in cheerleading a while back. It's fun to see my "kids" grow up and get married and have families of their own, but it does make me feel old. Haha!

Winter Engagement Session {Nicole & Gil}

April 22, 2013

I loved this winter engagement session. They are such a beautiful couple and I am so excited to get to be the photographer at their wedding next month! Hopefully it's a lot warmer weather than their engagements were. :)

Vintage Style Cake Smash {Maylee}

I had this idea in my head for my daughter's one-year cake smash for the longest time. I found the fabric for the romper first and based everything around that. I wanted it to be sweet and vintage, with light blues and creams and florals and a white cake...

I sewed the romper with a pillowcase-style neckline, then used one of my great-grandma's old broken earrings as a center for the flower and some vintage elastic lace for the band. My mom helped me find some coordinating papers for the paper fans (which took a LOT longer to make then you think they should!) and she made the cute big chunky necklace. I piped the cake the night before and the only thing I wish I'd done differently for this shoot was take the cake out of the fridge sooner so that the frosting could soften up and make more  of a mess! Oh well. Still turned out pretty cute. :)

I can't believe my Maylee is a year old. Happy birthday baby girl!
