Country Rustic Engagment Session {Gabrielle & Alex}

July 12, 2015

 This gorgeous couple was one of my favorite to photograph. They were so easy going, fun to pose and game for anything I threw at them! If I remember right it was also a cold and windy day, but you would never know from how well their engagement session turned out.

Enjoy!

And the dramatic piéce de résistance...

Newborn {Witten}

June 22, 2015

This was another session I wanted to share from a year ago... It's not every newborn session that I get to go outside! I think he loved the 90 degree evening because he was the happiest sleepiest baby I have EVER had the opportunity to photograph! And such a sweetheart with his big brothers (some of my favorite newborn sibling shots!)

Half Year {Oakley}

I love this little girl!

I got to see her this past week and it reminded me of how much I loved this session from almost exactly a year ago. The location, the flowers, the tones, the outfits & props were just perfect... not to mention the adorable subject!

St George Desert {Leavitt Family}

May 6, 2015

This was a fun session from last year... I've never shot portraits in the St. George red sands before and this was a fun change of pace from Idaho desert! I absolutely love these people and love the way these turned out. I love any chance I get to travel "down south" so if you're in the southern Utah area please contact me and I'll possibly be able to waive travel fees! :)

Newborn {Liam}

I made a new goal as of late to blog more sessions. What better way to start then to show off this cute little guy?! I love the shots we got with his big sister too. His squishy lips and her adorable freckles just make me smile!

Photography Blog Circle {Motion}

March 20, 2015

YouTube link here.

I chose the theme this month knowing it could be interpreted in many diverse ways. I thought about long exposures, freezing motion, a composite image... but I actually didn't settle on how I would interpret it until my girls begged and begged to make a YouTube video (are anyone else's kids totally obsessed with those videos of people opening and playing with toys?!) but I talked them into doing a stop motion video.

I had a lot of fun with this and it was a relatively simple project to complete. However, I do wish sometimes that I wasn't a procrastinator and wait until the night before the due date to even start on something... We ran outside with a few minutes of light left, dinner waiting and getting cold on the table, and shot these sequences all in about five minutes. I wish I would've not been so rushed as to actually check that my shutter speed wasn't so slow- many of the images were more blurry than I'd like- but alas, I was hungry. ;-) It was a fun project nonetheless and I think I'll do it again for sure!
