I love newborn sessions. Babies have such a sweet spirit about them. They do take quite a bit of time and work to get into those cute sleepy poses, however. It is not rare that I spend 3+ hours working traditional a newborn session. My sister Tara wanted to try a lifestyle session where we take pictures of the family interacting with the new sweet baby with their home as the backdrop. This was so much fun to do! I hope more parents are interested in these types of sessions in the future.

This amazing couple just celebrated their one year anniversary. In about a month they will have something else to celebrate as well! They are the most excited soon-to-be parents I think I have ever known. Baby Evelyn will be so loved! Auntie Alea is pretty excited to have another niece on the Peters side too. Another point for pink! ;-)

 

Do you ever have dreams of a relaxed, casual summer spent in the sunshine, hanging out with family and friends, eating good food, just taking it easy??? Well, it's been fun, but just like every other time in my life I feel like we've been as busy as ever! Someday I might feel all caught up, or maybe I should just learn to enjoy the ride and not think so much about the "destination." (i.e. "If I could just finish this project, maybe I'll feel more accomplished!") Anyway, I'm not sure if I'll get to post all of the sessions I've done this summer, including all of the weddings! But I just had to post something. I've been having so much fun!
